Zoe-perry
Perry was born on July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. One of her first TV appearances were as Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother portrayed the role. Perry was forbidden to perform by her parents until adulthood, as they feared the strain it might cause. Perry was shy during high school and didn't act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends when she moved from Boston University. Perry was able to land tiny TV roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent following her graduation. However, her homesickness brought her back to California again where she began performing on stage. Perry starred with her mother on stage in The Other Place at Broadway at the end of 2013. In 2015, she performed with her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry played a part in nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. Her father portrayed her in the ABC show Scandal. In the same year, the actress was selected to play a younger version of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again portraying a younger version of her mother's character. The character was assigned by audition regardless of the fact that she has a family tie to the role.
